Slow Harvest was recorded in my home studio at Slow Harvest Farm. As this was my first attempt to record music, I kept it simple. First, I laid down the acoustic guitar part and then recorded a vocal track. I did not do any significant editing—each track is the way I recorded it in a single take (though I did many takes of each song!).

I had lots of encouragement along the way. Many times friendly spirits peered over my shoulder, helping me to overcome moments of frustration and self-doubt. I owe a particular debt to Lisa Carmen, who believed in these songs and helped me to improve each one.

I would love to hit the road and play these songs for you. And who knows? Come next summer, maybe that will be possible! Until then, I hope you enjoy Slow Harvest!
